The second edition of the Paris+ art fair is in full swing, featuring 154 galleries from 33 different countries. Collectors and art enthusiasts have eagerly flocked to the event, resulting in notable sales.
One of the standout sales of the evening was Louise Fishman’s artwork, “Red-Orange Brain,” which commanded a substantial price of $450,000 from the Pace gallery booth. Notably, the same gallery is also presenting Mark Rothko’s painting, “Olive Over Red,” for a staggering $40 million.
David Zwirner’s gallery saw remarkable success with the sale of Dana Schutz’s work, which fetched a remarkable $850,000. Meanwhile, Hauser and Wirth, which recently inaugurated its Paris space, enjoyed nearly full sales of its exhibited pieces. A piece by Lee Lozano found a new home for $450,000.
Gagosian Gallery, renowned for its representation of esteemed artists, also made headlines by confirming the sale of an artwork by Helen Frankenthaler for an impressive $2.3 million.
